Cordero & Associates staff members volunteer weekly to read in classrooms as well as tutor and mentor at-risk students in Miami’s urban schools. The foundation also awards scholarships and other material support to promising students who come from single-parent homes or face other challenges.
Working in partnership with local social service agencies, Cordero & Associates provides basic legal advice, resume preparation, interview skills training and other services for single mothers and working women who need a helping hand.
Luis A. Cordero, Founder of Cordero & Associates, P.A., serves on the boards of directors of the Miami City Ballet and the Miami Symphony. Immigration law services are provided pro bono to those organizations as well as to the Children’s Cancer Caring Center, the Miami Children’s Hospital, and needy individuals and families.
Mr. Cordero also serves as a vice president and secretary of the Injured Officers Assistance Fund, a Miami-based charitable foundation that assists in addressing the hardships police officers face if they are seriously injured while on duty.
